Focus Cabin Privacy Policy

This policy covers Focus Cabin (Android package com.focuscabin), a focus timer with a growing cabin, tasks and local statistics.

Your information on your device

The app stores task titles and completion states, focus session times and durations, cabin progress, decoration choices and settings in its private local database. These records support the timer, history, statistics, recovery and cabin features. The app has no account system, advertising, developer-operated server, analytics service or automatic upload of your task and focus records.

The app does not request contacts, location, microphone, camera, accessibility-service access or other apps' usage history. It does not monitor whether you are actually concentrating.

Purchases

Optional Pro appearances use Google Play Billing where available. Google processes payment and purchase information under its own policies. Focus Cabin locally stores purchase status and the purchase token needed to acknowledge and restore the entitlement; it does not receive your payment-card details. Purchase records are excluded from content backup exports. A complimentary access code, when supplied, stores a local access marker separately from Google Play purchases. Google may retain its transaction records even if you remove local app content. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Backups and deletion

You may explicitly export a content backup through Android's file picker and import one later. Exported files contain task text, focus records and cabin information; they are not encrypted by Focus Cabin. Choose a trusted location and protect any copies. If you choose a cloud file provider or share a file, that provider's terms and privacy practices apply. Focus Cabin does not operate a cloud backup service.

The app is configured to exclude its private data from Android automatic cloud backup and device transfer. Keep your own exported backup before replacing a device. Android and device-provider behavior may vary.

Records remain locally until you remove them. Settings offers deletion of local tasks, records and cabin progress. Removing the app or clearing its storage can also remove local data. Files you exported must be deleted separately. Content deletion does not refund or cancel a Google Play purchase; purchase restoration does not restore focus history.

Permissions and sound

Notification permission and exact-alarm access are optional and support completion reminders. The app remains usable without them; reminder delivery depends on Android settings. Ambient sound and interface sounds play locally, respect your in-app volume choices and stop when the app leaves the foreground. They do not record audio.

Support and this website

If you email seansheaton@gmail.com, john receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send through Google's email service. This information is used to answer your request and diagnose the issue. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary private task text. Support correspondence is kept while needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations; you may request deletion through the same address. We do not sell your information.

This public information website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process connection information, including IP addresses, to serve and secure the site under its privacy statement. The site adds no advertising, analytics scripts or tracking cookies. This website hosting is separate from the app's local focus records.

Children and changes

Focus Cabin does not ask for age or create user profiles. If a child sends personal information through support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion. No claim of participation in Google's Families programme is made here.
